The One Way to Win It All in Roulette

Roulette is a casino favorite that has been played since the 17th century. It’s named Roulette, after a French word that translates to the little wheel that accommodates a ball. Although classed as a game of chance, there’s planning and plotting, making Roulette more than that. To win the game, you’re going to have to understand the game — everything else, including increasing your money, flows automatically.

The Wheel and the Ball

The spinning wheel for Roulette is divided into 38 slots. Thirty-six of the slots are randomly numbered between 1 to 36 and alternate between red and black. The last of the two slots are colored green and labeled as 0 and 00. The wheel is spun either clockwise or anticlockwise, whereas the small ball placed inside the wheel spins in the opposite direction. As the wheel begins to slow down, gravity makes the ball drop, hitting one of the 38 numbered slots. The objective of the game is to determine the number and color the ball shall land on.

The Bets

Bets are lined up on the roulette table in three columns of numbers that correspond with the numbers and colors on the wheel. Each column consists of 12 numbers with 0 and 00 placed on the top. Bets may either be placed on the intersection of numbers or individual numbers. In addition, they can be placed outside of the grid.

The Winning

Now, there’s no limit for the number of bets that the player may place — but if the winning number pays out at a higher rate to make up for former losses on the bets that were lost, you end up losing money.

The rule of thumb to remember is the greater the chances of winning the bet, the lower the payout — in other words, the lesser the probability of success, the greater the payout. With time you should be able to acquire fancier betting strategies and mathematical progressions to win it all in Roulette!
